Araçların birinin gelip, birinin gittiği, gaz dedektörleri ve elimizdeki sabunlu su kapları ile gaz kaçağı peşinde koşarken tanıdık birbirimizi sonrasında dayanışma, mücadele içinde dostluğumuzu ve yoldaşlığımızı büyüttük. Politik tartışmalarda “Şerefcim” diye söze başlar, düşün dünyasını bizimle paylaşırdı.
Emek yoğunluğunun yoğun olduğu yerde çalışıyorduk, gaz dönüşümü yapılmış araçları kontrol ediyorduk. Her günümüz stres içinde, her an ne ile karşılaşacağımızı bilmiyorduk.
Meslek odasında teknik görevli dışında gönülülük esasına göre de çalışıyorduk. Emekten yana politikaların savunuculuğu ile birlikte daha fazla emek ve mücadele içinde olmak istiyorduk. Gençtik, isyanlardaydık, başka bir dünya mümkün diye haykırıyorduk, parti, sendika, susma sustukça sıra sana gelecek, ya devrim ya sosyalizm…
İşte bu şartlar içinde “Sendikalı olmalıyız…” diye başlıyorduk günün sonunda konuştuklarımız havada kalıyor, eyleme geçmiyordu ve gidişat kısır döngüye doğru evriliyordu. Yine bu konuşmaların yapıldığı bir gün “Arkadaşlar şimdi, notere gidiyoruz ve sendikalı oluyoruz. Var mısınız?” diye bir teklifte bulunduğumda, ilk o bu heyecana ortak olmuştu. Sonrasında 12 arkadaş dilekçelerimizi notere vermiş ve sendikalı olmuştuk. Bundan sonra hep birlikte yoldaş olmuştuk ve sendika eğitimimizi alıyor sonra eylemlerde ve dayanışma içinde buluyorduk kendimizi. Bir seferinde Serkan “Arkadaşlar Burger King’de eylem var, arkadaşlara destek verelim” demişti, kendimizi eylemin içinde bulmuştuk. Serkan her toplantımızda mutlaka dayanışmamız gerektiğini düşündüğü her toplumsal olay için eylem planları yapar mutlaka hayata geçirirdi.
Meslek odasından ayrıldıktan sonra da mümkün olduğunca hep bir araya gelmeye çalıştık. Sohbetlerimizde çoğu zaman eskiyi yad ediyorduk.
Serkan, hayatımda tanıdığım en mücadeleci, en dayanışmacı, en sosyalist, en mühendis insanlardan biriydi. Varlığını hep hissedeceğim ve geride bıraktıkları ile gurur duyacağım bir insandı. Yaptığı her şeyle etrafını güzelleştiren, ender bulunan insanlardan biriydi Serkan Çiteli.

Her zaman mücadelenin en önündeydi Serkan. Yenikapıda Newrozda, Yıldızda MMO Genel Kurulunda, seçiminde, işten atılan arkadaşlarının direniş çadırında.
Ne Makinada çalıştığı için kurul toplantılarında sözünü esirgedi, ne hastalığının sön günlerinde yatakta olduğu için mücadeleyi bıraktı. Onun hep o güzel gülüşü, azmi ve direnci içeren sözleri hatırlatacak bizlere .
Şerefcim hepimizin duygularına tercüman olan güzel bir yazı olmuş. Yüreğine sağlık. Serkan yan yana çalışmaktan, omuz omuza yürümekten en çok keyif aldığım kişilerden, en yakın arkadaşlarımdan biriydi. Ve yazıda belirttiğin MMO’da Serkan ile birlikte sendikaya üye olan 12 mühendisten biri olmak da benim için ayrı bir onurdur.
Serkan’ı unutmak mümkün değil. Aramızdan ayrıldığı günden beri hep bir yerlerden çıkıp gelecekmiş gibi bir his var benim üzerimde. Onu çok özlüyorum.

Odada 25 yılı devirdik:) geçici olarak işe alım için ilk görüşmemde şube müdürü genel iş tanımını yaptıktan sonra odanın toplumsal duruşunu vs anlatmama gerek yok zaten örgütlüsün ve biliyorsun sen, o bilinç ve sorumlulukla görevini yapacağına inanıyorum demişti. Bu süreçte onlarca çalışma arkadaşı, yönetici ve gönüllü emek koyan arkadaşlarla tanıştık. Kimileri unutuldu, kimileri hafızalardan silindi gitti. Kimileri de hafızamıza ve kalbimize kazındı. işte Serkan o hafızamıza ve kalbimize kazınanlardan…Onu kalplerde kalıcı yapan en önemli unsur oturmuş iyi niyetli ve iyi karaktere sahip olması ve ardından genç yaşında örgütlendiği örgütlü yaşamıdır. Her dokunduğu insanı örgütleme perspektifi ile yaklaşır ona göre emek verirdi. İmes’de çalışanı olan muhafazakar bir patronla kurduğu bağ ile o fabrikada emek veren işçi olarak çalışan işçi ile kurduğu bağda hep aynı düzlemde olurdu. O muhafazakar patronun oda seçimlerinde ben aslında farklı düşünüyorum ama Serkan için gelip onun desteklediği listeye oy vereceğim demesinin altında yatan temel dayanak Serkan’ın dürüst ve doğru bir insan olmasının bir karşılığı idi.
Kendisine yapılan haksızlığın sohbetini yaparken bile kırıcı olmamaya çalışan,
Olayları bireyselleştirip küsüp gitme yerine orda kalıp mücadele etmeyi seçerdi. Çünkü örgütlü mücadele hep öncelikli idi onu için. Hastalıkla mücadele ederken bile temsilcilik yürütme kurulu üyeliğini ret etmeden elinden geldiğince katılır ve katılması için insanlarla görüşürdü.
Haksızlığa uğramış bir çalışan varsa haksızlığı yapan kardeşimde olsa gözünün yaşına bakmam eleştiririm ve mücadele edenin yanında olurum derdi ve hayatın pratiği ile bunu bize gösterdiği içindir ki kalbimize gömdük onu.
Ne yazık ki çok erken ayrıldı aramızdan 🙁
